2. Job Summary

Responsible for writing books, articles, essays, and other content that is published under the name of another person. Professionally hired by celebrities, politicians, or business people who want to share their story with the world but don’t have the luxury of time or writing skills to do it themselves.

3. Responsibilities:
• Ability to effectively communicate ideas and concepts in such a way that resonates with their audience
• Able to write clearly and concisely while meeting all of the specific requirements outlined by their client
• Provides marketing support such as researching book ideas, identifying target audiences, and securing endorsements from well-known authors and experts in the field
• Handling interviews with experts to be able to gather the information that is relevant to the book’s subject
• Editing and amending drafts of the manuscript according to the author or client’s requirements
• Writing, rewriting, editing, and proofreading the manuscript until it meets the client’s standards
• Strong coordination with other members of the publishing team such as editors and graphic designers

4. Qualifications
• Typically required to have at least a Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Creative Writing
• May be required to have a master’s degree or a doctorate
• Has a previous experience in the industry in which they will write
