Female School Principal with GCC Experience

 

Female School Principal/ Headmistress is needed for a private school in the northern Emirates of UAE to start in August 2014

Must HAVE GCC Experience.
Qualified and Experienced who have held managerial and leadership roles before.

The schools serve local and expatriate children and offer the American Curriculum.

Nature and Scope of the Role
• Serves as the educational leader and chief administrator of the high school.
• Responsible for implementing and managing the policies, regulations and procedures.
• Achieving academic excellence requires that the Principal work collaboratively to lead and nurture all members of the school staff. To communicate effectively with parents, members of the community and colleagues in other schools.
• Responsible for planning, curriculum development, program evaluation, personnel management, financial management, emergency procedures, resource scheduling and facilities operations.

• Establish and promote high standards and expectations for all students and staff for academic performance and responsibility for behavior.
• Lead the School Management Improvement Team in overseeing the implementation of the school’s planning of supplemental programs to support reform, developing the school-based budget, building parental and community support.
• Inherent in the whole school reform model and supplemental programs to be implemented are the following elements:
1. Improved student performance;
2. Research based program of curriculum and instruction supported by and integrated with an appropriate array of research proven supplemental strategies;
3. School based leadership and decision making to ensure a comprehensive plan with annual student achievement targets, supported by parents, staff, and community members;
4. Integration and alignment of school functions aimed at student achievement of the Core Curriculum Content Standards;
5. Infusion of educational technology;
6. Professional development for all staff focused on the achievement of the Core Curriculum Content Standards;
7. Safe school environment conducive to learning, including a school security program;
