FX and Commodity Hedging Solutions Business Analyst
[09/20/26]Nair Systems is currently looking for FX and Commodity Hedging Solutions Business Analyst for our Qatar operations
Education & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university, preferably with a major in Finance, Banking, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, Financial Engineering, or a related field of study.
- A master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Financial Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Professional certifications in Business Analysis, Financial Markets, Risk Management, Treasury, or Project Management, such as CBAP, PMI-PBA, CFA, FRM, ACI, Agile, or an equivalent certification, are advantageous.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience, preferably within a highly rated international bank, with exposure to Treasury, Global Markets, Business Analysis, Product Management, or Banking Transformation.
- Experience supporting FX, Commodity, Treasury, Derivative, Structured Product, or Capital Markets initiatives is preferred.
- Experience in business requirements gathering, process mapping, solution design, product implementation, testing, and change delivery.
- Exposure to trading platforms, treasury systems, digital channels, and front-to-back capital markets processes is advantageous.
- Experience working across multiple markets, legal entities, or business functions is preferred.
Required Special Skills:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including report writing, in English. Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
- Good interpersonal, facilitation, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of FX, Commodity, Derivative, Structured Product, and corporate risk management solutions.
- Knowledge of the hedging lifecycle, trading processes, treasury operations, and front-to-back transaction workflows.
- Understanding of relevant laws, regulations, market practices, risk principles, and control requirements.
- Strong business analysis skills, including requirements elicitation, documentation (BRD/BRS), validation, prioritization, and traceability.
- Proficiency in process mapping, gap analysis, operating-model design, user-story development, and acceptance-criteria definition.
- Experience supporting product development, platform implementation, systems integration, user acceptance testing, and business readiness.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret product, client, transaction, revenue, and operational data.
- Ability to develop clear dashboards, management reports, business cases, and decision-support materials.
- Understanding of automation, digitization, data management, and process optimization principles.
- Ability to make sound decisions and follow through with initiatives within delegated authority.
- Strong stakeholder-management skills and the ability to work effectively across business, risk, operations, technology, and control functions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities by Dimensions:
A. Shareholder & Financial:
- analyse market opportunities, client demand, product utilization, and revenue trends to support the expansion of FX and Commodity Hedging capabilities.
- Support the preparation of business cases for new hedging products, structured solutions, platform enhancements, and process improvement initiatives.
- Develop dashboards and management reports to monitor product adoption, client penetration, transaction activity, revenue performance, and benefits realization.
- Provide analytical insights to support product prioritization, resource allocation, and management decision-making.
- Monitor delivery against approved business objectives, project milestones, budgets, and expected commercial benefits.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, automate manual activities, and reduce processing costs across the hedging lifecycle.
- Implement KPIs and best practices for the Business Analyst, FX & Commodity Hedging role.
- Promote cost consciousness and efficiency and enhance productivity, to minimise cost, avoid waste, and optimise benefits for the Bank.
- Act within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent.
B. Customer (Internal & External):
- analyse client requirements, feedback, usage patterns, and service challenges to support the development of relevant FX and Commodity Hedging solutions.
- Assist in defining and improving end-to-end client journeys, from client onboarding and trade execution through confirmation, settlement, servicing, and reporting.
- Work with Coverage, Global Markets, Treasury, and Product teams to translate client needs into clear business and functional requirements.
- Support the development of client-centric digital capabilities and platform enhancements that improve accessibility, transparency, responsiveness, and service quality.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, requirements-gathering sessions, process reviews, and solution-validation discussions.
- Assist customers and internal stakeholders with queries relating to the Bank’s products and seek appropriate solutions to their requests.
- Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements with internal departments and units to achieve improvements in turnaround time.
- Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with related departments and units to achieve the Group’s objectives.
- Provide timely and accurate data to internal and external Auditors, Compliance, Financial Control, and Risk when required.
C. Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory):
- Gather, analyse, document, validate, and maintain business and functional requirements for FX, Commodity, Derivative, and Structured Product capabilities.
- Support the implementation and enhancement of hedging products, trading platforms, treasury systems, digital channels, and related technology solutions.
- Map, assess, and optimize front-to-back hedging processes covering pricing, execution, confirmation, settlement, collateral, accounting, risk monitoring, and regulatory reporting, as applicable.
- Assist in defining target operating models, business processes, control requirements, user journeys, roles, responsibilities, and operating procedures.
- Conduct gap analyses to identify product, process, platform, data, control, and service-delivery improvement opportunities.
- Support solution design, requirement traceability, user acceptance testing, issue resolution, implementation readiness, and post-implementation reviews.
- Coordinate with Global Markets, Treasury, Coverage, Risk, Operations, Technology, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure that business requirements incorporate applicable regulatory, risk, control, data protection, conduct, and governance requirements.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and controlled business analysis documentation, including requirements, process maps, user stories, acceptance criteria, decision logs, and traceability records.
- Monitor project dependencies, risks, issues, actions, and implementation progress, escalating material matters to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for automation, digitization, standardization, and simplification across products and operating processes.
- Support the implementation of consistent capabilities while recognizing local business and regulatory requirements across Qatar, Turkey, and Egypt.
D. Learning & Knowledge:
- Maintain current knowledge of FX, Commodity, Derivative, Structured Product, Treasury, and Global Markets developments.
- Develop a detailed understanding of the hedging lifecycle, trading workflows, treasury operations, client journeys, and front-to-back control environment.
- Remain current with developments in digital trading platforms, data analytics, automation, product innovation, and banking transformation.
- Build and maintain knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and market practices across Qatar, Turkey, and Egypt.
- Share business analysis methodologies, market insights, process knowledge, and lessons learned with relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of reusable templates, requirements standards, process documentation, and implementation practices.
- Proactively identify areas for professional development of self and undertake development activities.
- Seek out opportunities to remain current with all developments in the professional field.
E. Legal, Regulatory, and Risk Framework Responsibilities:
- Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal compliance requirements including, but not limited to, Group Compliance Policies and Procedures (AML & CTF, Sanctions Policy, Data Protection Policy, Fraud Control Policy, Whistle Blowing Policy, Conflict of Interest and Insider Dealing Policy).
- Understand and effectively perform your role under the Three Lines of Defence principle to identify measure, monitor, manage and report risks.
- Ensure systematic good outcomes for clients in accordance with Conduct Risk policy.
- Support the framework of RCSA, KRI, Incident reporting and remediation, as appropriate, in accordance with the Operational Risk Management requirements.
- Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure full qualification to undertake the role.
- Complete all mandatory training provided by the Bank, attain, and maintain the required levels of competence.
- Attend mandatory (internal and external) seminars as instructed by the Bank.
